Two part workshop conducted over two consecutive days

Course Objectives

  • Increase knowledge on the topic of capacity building  
  • Increase awareness of the capacity building work being done by other NGOs
  • Initiate the attending organisation’s capacity building journey

Who will benefit from this course?  

Persons working in any capacity in any organization that works directly or indirectly with children (those providing child protection services and those working in administrative or other roles), who are desirous of gaining a basic understanding of children, their rights, key legislations relating to child protection and the child-rights based approach.

Approaches to teaching and learning  

The workshop is designed to be interactive and reflective: NGOs will get an exercise/survey to reflect on their own org’s capacity before the workshop NGOs will be given a tool/framework to diagnose their capacity in 1-2 areas during the workshop Active Q and A during the workshop
